Frequently asked questions
What does the accessibility checker look for?
It checks for missing document title, undeclared language, lack of PDF tags, missing alt text on images, reading order issues, and heading structure. These are structural checks based on WCAG 2.2 AA and PDF/UA-1 standards.
Does running the checker count as a daily operation?
No. The accessibility check is read-only and free — it never counts toward your daily operation limit.
Can it fix the issues it finds?
Not yet. The checker reports issues so you know what to fix in your authoring tool (Word, InDesign, etc.). A future update may auto-fix simple metadata issues like missing title or language.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The entire check runs in your browser using JavaScript. Your file never leaves your device.
