How to Rotate PDF Pages
Scanned documents, photos, and exported slides often end up sideways or upside down in a PDF. The fixtdoc Rotate PDF tool lets you fix page orientation in seconds, for free, directly in your browser.
Steps
- Open the Rotate PDF tool. Go to fixtdoc Rotate PDF.
- Upload your PDF. Drag and drop or click to browse. You will see thumbnail previews of every page.
- Rotate individual pages or all at once. Click the rotation button on a page thumbnail to turn it 90 degrees clockwise. Repeat for 180 or 270 degrees. Use the Rotate All button to apply the same rotation to every page.
- Download the corrected PDF. Click Save and the fixed file downloads automatically. No upload to any server.
Common Rotation Issues
- Sideways scans: Documents scanned in landscape orientation appear rotated 90 degrees. One click fixes each page.
- Upside-down pages: Some scanners flip pages. Rotate 180 degrees to correct them.
- Mixed orientations: When a PDF has both portrait and landscape pages, rotate only the pages that need fixing.
Tips
- For documents with many misoriented pages, use the Organize PDF tool which also supports rotation alongside reordering and deletion.
- Rotation does not affect image quality. The page content stays exactly the same.
- The tool works with scanned PDFs, digital documents, and PDFs with mixed content.
Common Questions
Does rotating a PDF reduce quality?
No. Rotation changes the page orientation metadata without recompressing images or text. Quality stays identical.
Can I rotate just one page in a multi-page PDF?
Yes. Click the rotation button on the specific page thumbnail. Other pages remain unchanged.
Does this work on my phone?
Yes. The tool runs in any modern browser on desktop, tablet, or phone.
